Seasonal Beer Review: Goose Island Summertime

Summertiiiiime....and the livin' is eeeeeeeeasy.....Summertime, the seasonal offering from Goose island is here. Called a "Kölsch"'a clear beer with a bright straw-yellow hue, it has a prominent, but not extreme, hoppiness. It is less bitter than the standard German lager beer, Pilsner. The color is a pale gold, with a minimal white lacy head. Pretty wheaty tasting, with some citrus overtones; not too malty, not too hoppy; as the name suggests, a good summertime "lawnmower" beer.
